Should your loved one be required to be collected from a home address there will be an additional charge of £250.00. This service is available 24 Hours a Day from anywhere in England, Wales and Mainland Scotland by calling 0208 560 4984.
The deceased will rest within our purpose built Funeral Home Mortuary with state-of-the-art temperature controlled facilities. We include up to 3 months of care as standard.
After the first 3 months of care we charge £30.00 per week for continued care, calculated on a daily basis.
As soon as the deceased enters into our care and necessary documentation is complete, we will arrange for their body to be embalmed then prepared and dressed in an outfit provided by yourself. Alternatively we can provide a white shroud.
We carry out Embalming to an International Standard. This means we use a high-index preservative alongside other procedures to help preserve the body for a longer period of time / in a warmer climate.
We include our Journeyman Coffin as standard. The Coffin is an Oak Effect MDF Coffin fully lined and fitted with an engraved name plate and six brass style handles and matching wreath holders.
To meet the regulations of the airlines, the Coffin will be hermetically sealed prior to transportation abroad. The Coffin can be unsealed upon arrival in the final destination. The Coffin is also suitable for Burial & Cremation.
You may visit the deceased in our Chapel of Rest by appointment during office hours. Viewing outside of office hours, evenings, weekends and public holidays will attract an additional charge of £250.00.
We will provide a Hearse and Driver to transfer the Coffin from our Premises to a venue of your choice, such as a church or community hall, should you wish to hold a Funeral Ceremony prior to the deceased being repatriated.
There will be a wheeled trolley in the Hearse for the Coffin to be placed on whilst it is moved inside the venue, during the ceremony and then for movement out of the venue. This will require a minimum of 3 family / friends to assist.
If you require us to provide a team of Pallbearers to carry the Coffin into and out of the venue, there will be an additional charge of £250.00.
We will obtain the Out of England Certificate from the Coroner which will allow the body to be taken out of the country.
We will also obtain a Free from Infection Certificate from the Doctor or Coroner to confirm that the deceased is non-infectious or to confirm that the deceased will pose no risk to health if remaining in a hermetically sealed Coffin.
In certain circumstances we must also obtain a permit from the Embassy or Consulate of the receiving country. Our Fee for doing this is included however there may be Disbursements to be paid for any Embassy Fees, Notary, Legalisation or Translations.
We will make a flight booking for the Coffin to be repatriated to the country of your choice. We will first advise you of the available options in terms of routes and choices of airline. We can then proceed in making the booking, providing the airline with the details of the Funeral Home or representative who will receive the Coffin.
We will continue to communicate with the airline awaiting the 'OK TO FORWARD' which is issued when the flight is fully confirmed. As soon as the flight is confirmed we will inform you, so you are able to book your own tickets for travelling.
The cost of the airfreight, export customs declaration, handling charges and Airway Bill are added to our service which gives the overall cost for the whole repatriation.
Prior to transferring the Coffin to the Airport of Departure, the Coffin will be wrapped in a discrete sheeting to protect the outside from any damage during transportation to the final destination.
On the day prior to Repatriation, the Coffin will be transferred to the airport of departure in our Private Ambulance. Upon arrival at the Airport, the Coffin is handed over to the appropriate Cargo Handler along with a copy of all documentation.
All original documentation will be safely and securely attached to the outside of the Coffin for retrieval upon arrival at the destination.
We will provide you with a unique login code to enable you to access our Client Portal.
